I repainted mine in the summer of 1999. Disassembly is very straight froward. I used a can and a half of Kubota Tractor Type 2 Orange. Tractor paint works great if you can find it in a color you like. Use multiple light coats of paint to get a run free high gloss finish. Priming and painting the tinware off a Savage takes all of a week.
